Aasvoëlberg directly translates as “Vulture Mountain” and overlooks Willowmore. It is one of the few places in the Karoo where coastal fynbos grows.
Aasvoelberg is located on Finchley Farm and offers guests numerous activities such as hiking, mountain climbing, hang gliding, mountain biking, and 4x4 and 4x2 tracks. Guests can drive or hike to the top of Aasvoëlberg. There they will find a rich variety of flora (Proteas and fynbos), magnificent rock formations, fountains, waterfalls, and mountain streams. Birdlife is abundant, and birdwatchers will not be disappointed. They will also enjoy panoramic views of the area.
For those who do not have a suitable vehicle to drive on the farm tracks, a Land Rover is to hire for use on the farm.
